Ghana players Maxwell Woledzi and Shakur Mohammed have been named in Nashville Sporting Club’s pre-season roster as the club prepares to commence its 2026 campaign.
Defender Woledzi and midfielder Mohammed were included in the group that was set to play against Birmingham Legion FC in a pre-season clash this past weekend.
The clash was postponed due to bad weather, but Nashville will take on Orlando SC on Saturday, February 7, in another friendly.
The game serves as preparation for Nashville’s CONCACAF Champions Cup against Ottawa on Wednesday, February 18.
Woledzi and Mohammed signed to join Nashville ahead of the start of the 2026 season, with 22-year-old Mohammed joining from fellow Major League Soccer (MLS) club Orlando City after a frustrating three-year stint with the club, after getting drafted second overall in the 2023 Draft.

Woledzi, on the other hand, joined Nashville from Danish club Fredrikstad FK on a four-year deal with the final year of the contract being a team option.

Prior to the move, 24 year old Woledzi starred for Fredrikstad and won the Player of the Year Award at the club.
