Former Member of Parliament for Dormaa East, and a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana, Paul Twum-Barimah Esq., has received a delegation of Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) leaders who paid a courtesy call on him and presented a citation in recognition of his recent call to the Bar.

The delegation, made up of TESCON presidents from the University of Ghana, the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, and the African University College of Communications, was led by the Greater Accra Regional TESCON Coordinator.

The visit formed part of ongoing engagements within the New Patriotic Party aimed at strengthening internal cohesion and repositioning the party for the 2028 general elections.

During the interaction, Mr Twum-Barimah underscored the critical role TESCON has historically played in the growth and electoral success of the party, describing the student wing as a vital engine for grassroots mobilisation and ideological orientation on tertiary campuses.

He encouraged the student leaders to deepen their engagement across universities and other institutions. He urged them to design innovative programmes that would attract and sustain youth interest in the party.

“They must actively engage students across various campuses and develop programmes that make the party more appealing to the next generation,” he noted, while assuring them of his continued support for TESCON initiatives.

A key highlight of the visit was the presentation of a citation and a congratulatory message to Twum-Barimah Esq. in honour of his successful call to the Ghana Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana.

He expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing it as both humbling and symbolic of the enduring bond between the party’s leadership and its youthful base.

Mr Twum-Barimah further described the engagement as inspiring, commending the TESCON executives for their energy, commitment, and forward-looking vision.

He expressed confidence that with sustained dedication, TESCON would continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the party and contributing to national development.
