Senior policymakers, business leaders, development institutions, and trade partners are convening in The Hague, Netherlands, from today, 15 to 17 April 2026, for the Ghana Cocoa Connect Conference 2026.
The Cocoa Connect Conference 2026 is a high-level forum to address the future resilience and competitiveness of Ghana’s cocoa sector amid mounting climate, regulatory, and market pressures.
Organized by AfroEuro Foundation, in collaboration with the Embassy of Ghana in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the conference is positioned as a strategic policy and investment platform under the theme “The Cocoa Sector at a Crossroads: Leadership, Policy Reform and Investment.
As Ghana’s cocoa industry faces increasing demands related to sustainability, EU regulatory compliance, traceability, and climate adaptation, Ghana Cocoa Connect 2026 aims to move beyond dialogue by aligning policy leadership with investment-ready solutions across the cocoa value chain.
The programme will focus on Ghana-EU policy coordination, sustainable finance, ESG compliance and traceability, public-private partnerships, and commercial innovation, with discussions designed to bridge policy intent and practical implementation.
The three-day conference will feature keynote addresses, executive-level panel discussions, targeted technical workshops, and a closed-door stakeholder roundtable with senior representatives from institutions such as COCOBOD, diplomatic missions, financial institutions, and private-sector leaders active in cocoa, trade, and sustainable commodities.
Ghana Cocoa Connect 2026 is expected to generate actionable policy insights, strengthen cross-border collaboration, and support investment pathways that enhance the long-term resilience of Ghana’s cocoa sector in an increasingly regulated and climate-sensitive global market.
The conference will take place in The Hague, reinforcing the city’s role as a centre for international dialogue, policy coordination, and sustainable development partnerships
