The Center for Policy Scrutiny (CPS) has appointed Kweku Obeng-Adjei as its new Head of Corporate Affairs, a move that underscores the Center’s renewed commitment to strengthening communication, transparency, and stakeholder engagement within Ghana’s governance and policy ecosystem.

Announced on Friday, October 17, 2025, the appointment positions Obeng-Adjei as a central figure in the Center’s efforts to deepen public understanding of policy processes and promote evidence-based dialogue on governance and development.

With over 17 years of experience in communications and media practice, Obeng-Adjei brings a wealth of expertise in strategic communications, media relations, and institutional branding. His work has been defined by a passion for connecting policy institutions with the public through compelling storytelling and stakeholder collaboration.

The appointment comes under the leadership of Dr. Adu Owusu Sarkodie, the Executive Director of CPS, who is widely respected as one of Ghana’s foremost economists and policy analysts. Dr. Sarkodie, a lecturer at the University of Ghana, emphasized that Obeng-Adjei’s expertise will be critical in aligning the Center’s research with impactful public engagement.

Supporting the new leadership structure are Ms. Stephanie Anokyeiwaa Tawiah, Head of Programmes, and Ms. Nana Yaa Amponsah-Dapaah, Programmes Officer — both bringing diverse experience to CPS’s evolving agenda.

Ms. Tawiah, who has previously worked with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, KPMG Africa, and Growth Investment Partners, brings expertise in public policy, strategy, and development finance. Her track record in leading multimillion-dollar policy initiatives positions her to drive CPS’s programme implementation and performance oversight.

Ms. Amponsah-Dapaah, a detail-oriented and goal-driven professional, has experience working with the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration. Her strong organizational and communication skills add value to CPS’s programme operations and stakeholder coordination.

Together, this team — led by Dr. Adu Sarkodie and anchored by Kweku Obeng-Adjei’s communications leadership — represents a new era for the Center for Policy Scrutiny.

Their collective expertise is expected to amplify CPS’s impact on national discourse, strengthen its role in governance accountability, and foster a culture of citizen-centered policymaking.
