The wait is over; after over two months of not getting on the score sheet for AFC Bournemouth in an English Premier League game, Ghana’s Antoine Semenyo has scored a goal.
The Black Stars player scored in Bournemouth’s thrilling 4-4 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford in a game that had five of the eight goals scored in total registered in the first half, with Semenyo’s fine strike that arrowed into the net being one of three goals scored in the first half.
After receiving a pass off a turnover, Semenyo galloped down the right side into the penalty box before firing the ball into the net and wheeling away in celebration with relief etched on his face, with the goal being his first in the league since scoring a brace in a 3-1 win over Fulham on October 3.
Semenyo’s goal against Man United improves the versatile forward’s tally for the 2025-2026 season to seven while picking up three assists along the way.
