Nature’s Sprout Academy, in partnership with the Nature’s Sprout Foundation, will host the second edition of its Autism Walk for Advocacy, Recognition and Empowerment (AWARE) later this month as part of activities marking Autism Awareness Month.
The event, scheduled for 25 April in Accra, aims to promote inclusion, advocacy and access to care for neurodivergent children and their families.
Organisers said the walk will bring together parents, professionals, institutions, corporate organisations and members of the public to raise awareness and mobilise support for children with autism and other developmental needs.
This year’s edition will also focus on the connection between gut health and autism, with organisers seeking to encourage discussion around holistic and evidence-informed approaches to neurodevelopment and overall well-being.
Nature’s Sprout Academy said proceeds and support from the event will help expand financial assistance, community outreach and intervention programmes through its foundation.
The walk will begin at 6:30 a.m. from the academy’s premises at North Legon in Accra.
