Serbian football has been left devastated by the sudden loss of FK Radnički 1923 head coach Mladen Žižović, who passed away after suffering a heart attack during his team’s league match against Mladost Lucani. The 44-year-old collapsed on the sidelines early in the first half, shocking players and spectators alike.
Emergency personnel fought desperately to save him, but despite rapid medical intervention, he tragically did not survive. The match was immediately suspended as the football world absorbed the heartbreaking news.
Radnički described Žižović as a beloved figure — a coach who inspired, guided, and uplifted everyone around him. The Serbian Football Federation also honoured him, expressing profound sympathy to his family and praising his contributions to the sport.
Žižović’s journey in football began in Rogatica and spanned respected playing stints at clubs across Bosnia, Serbia, Albania, and North Macedonia. Since stepping into management in 2017, he earned admiration for his passion, intelligence, and unwavering commitment to the game.
