President John Dramani Mahama marked his 67th birthday on Saturday, November 29, with compassionate visits to children’s wards at two healthcare facilities in Accra, bringing cheer to young patients and support to their families.

Accompanied by his wife and children, President Mahama visited the LEKMA Hospital and the Maamobi Polyclinic, where he presented gift packages and cash donations to every child receiving treatment and to their parents.

The gesture drew warm appreciation from families, many of whom described the visit as uplifting.

He also extended monetary support to medical staff at both facilities, praising them for their dedication and tireless service. The President acknowledged the crucial role health workers play in delivering quality care, particularly in challenging conditions.

During his visit to LEKMA Hospital, President Mahama facilitated the referral of a young girl to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) for further medical attention, ensuring she received specialised care.
