President John Dramani Mahama will host the Prime Minister of Grenada, Honourable Dickon Amiss Thomas Mitchell, on Friday, October 17, 2025, at The Presidency for bilateral discussions aimed at strengthening relations between Ghana and Grenada.
Prime Minister Mitchell is expected to arrive in Accra on Thursday, 16 October 2025, at 4:00 p.m. for a two-day official visit. He will be accompanied by Grenada’s Chief of Staff, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development, and other senior government officials.
Following his arrival, the Grenadian delegation will participate in the inaugural Ghana–Grenada Political Consultation Meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On Friday morning, President Mahama will officially welcome Prime Minister Mitchell to The Presidency for bilateral talks, after which a State Luncheon will be held in his honour.
Before his departure later that day, Prime Minister Mitchell was scheduled to visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park.
Grenada, a volcanic island nation in the Caribbean with St. George’s as its capital, shares long-standing ties with Ghana. The two countries have previously signed bilateral agreements on visa waivers and cooperation in culture, trade, and education.
