Two people are feared dead after a small white helicopter crashed in Tema on Monday, with eyewitnesses reporting that the victims were burnt beyond recognition.
The helicopter is said to have gone down near the Tema Metropolitan Day Care, opposite Oninko Primary School and close to the Port Clinic area, sending shockwaves through the community.
Eyewitnesses who rushed to the scene said the aircraft burst into flames upon impact, leaving the bodies of those on board severely burnt.
Initial reports indicate that three individuals were on board the helicopter at the time of the crash and are believed to have died.

However, some witnesses claim that a female passenger may have survived the crash and was rescued by ordinary citizens who were among the first responders at the scene before emergency services arrived.
Residents in the area described scenes of confusion and panic immediately after the crash, as people rushed to the site in an attempt to offer assistance.
The cause of the crash is not yet known, and aviation authorities are expected to launch an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the incident.
