Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew will leave Leicester City at the end of the season after the club confirmed the departure of 10 senior players whose contracts expire this summer.
Ayew is among a group of outgoing players, alongside club captain Ricardo Pereira, Patson Daka, Jamaal Lascelles, and Wanya Marçal.
The 34-year-old Jordan Ayew joined Leicester ahead of the 2025/26 season and brought experience and versatility across the frontline, featuring prominently throughout the campaign. He scored six goals in 42 appearances during Leicester’s Championship season.
Before his move, Ayew spent six seasons at Crystal Palace, making over 200 appearances. He also played for Swansea City and Aston Villa, and began his professional career at Olympique de Marseille.
Across his career, Ayew has made more than 500 club appearances and scored over 100 goals, establishing himself as one of Ghana’s most experienced exports in European football.
In a statement, Leicester City thanked the departing players for their service and confirmed that several loan players, including Jordan James, Aaron Ramsey, Joe Aribo, Dujuan Richards, and Divine Mukasa, will return to their parent clubs.
