Parliamentary aspirants under the banner of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in constituencies with incumbent Members of Parliament (MPs) are set to undergo vetting between January 3 and January 5, 2024.

The vetting process will take place across all regional capitals, with committees established by the governing party to oversee the three-day exercise.

The party has disclosed the composition of the vetting committees for various regions, each chaired by prominent figures within the party.

Additionally, the NPP has formed a National Parliamentary Appeals Committee (NPAC) to address appeals from aspirants and other stakeholders. Chaired by Kwame Osei Prempeh, a former MP, the NPAC includes notable members such as Evans Nimako (Secretary), Opare Ansah, R.O. Solomon, Professor Emmanuel Flolu, Dr. Clifford Braimah, Eugenia Gifty Kusi, among others.

The party expects cooperation from all stakeholders and wishes aspiring candidates the best of luck in the upcoming primaries. The full statement and list of committee members have been officially released by Justin Kodua Frimpong, the General Secretary of the NPP.

    Vetting shall also be held for Aspiring Parliamentary Candidates in the Bawku Central, Ketu North and Akatsi North Constituencies.

The Party has further constituted a National Parliamentary Appeals Committee (NPAC) to consider appeals from aspirants and other stakeholders. Membership of the Committee is as follows:
