The High Court in Accra has granted bail in the sum of GH¢100,000 to the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, pending trial.

The court, presided over by Justice Bankole Thompson, admitted the accused to bail with two justified sureties.

As part of the bail conditions, the accused is required to report to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters once every fortnight.

The court further directed him to surrender his travelling documents to the court registry and restrained him from travelling outside the jurisdiction without prior permission from the court.

Counsel for the applicant, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, led by Godfred Yeboah Dame, moved the motion for bail and prayed the court to admit the applicant to bail pending trial.

The Deputy Attorney-General, Justice Srem-Sai, informed the court that the prosecution did not oppose the application.

Following submissions from both parties, the court granted the accused bail subject to the stated conditions.
