Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko has successfully completed Phase One of his campaign for National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, expressing profound gratitude to Constituency Executives in Ahafo, Ashanti, Bono, and Western North Regions who came out in their numbers to receive him.
Campaigning under the theme, “The Bridge to Victory: Empowering the Grassroots, Uniting for Victory 2028”, Boakye Agyarko’s tour marks a pivotal phase in his bid for the National Chairmanship of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Addressing zonal meetings of Constituency Executives, he declared his vision: to transform the NPP into a formidable, disciplined political machine capable of securing a decisive victory for H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2028 General Elections
Reflecting on the party’s current trajectory, Boakye Agyarko offered a candid assessment: “In 2024, we had a solid candidate but a weak party structure.
“My duty as National Chairman is to return the NPP to its foundational Danquah-Dombo-Busia traditions, rebuilding our structures so that Dr. Bawumia leads a party that is organized, energized, and ready to win.
“I am here to reconcile all sides and provide the solid organizational backbone the Presidency requires.”
In each region, he outlined four strategic pillars for his tenure when elected as National Chairman:
- A Unified Party: Leading reconciliation of the party by serving as the ‘ bridge” that brings all factions together towards rebuilding a formidable party for victory in 2028.
- Members’ Welfare: Establishing a welfare scheme to improve the well-being of party executives and members at all levels
- Resourcing The Party: Ensuring effective mobilization, equitable and timely distribution of campaign resources for effective operations, while pledging to provide coordination support for Dr. Bawumia to execute his novel initiative of constituency-based government appointments.
- Party Infrastructure: Establishing a world-class National Headquarters and permanent, party- owned offices for all regions and constituencies. This, he believes, would reinvigorate NPP as an effective and efficient election machine for Dr. Bawumia’s victory in 2028.
The campaign was bolstered in the regions by the presence of NPP stalwarts, including: Hon. Joseph Osei Owusu, former First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr. F.F. Anto, former National First Vice Chairman of NPP, Hon. Alfred Tua-Yeboah, former Deputy Attorney General, Mr. Kusi Boafo, former CEO of Public Sector Reform Secretariat.
The rest were Nana Wiafe Ababio, a member of the Ashanti Regional Council of Elders; Mr. Jeff Konadu, Eastern Regional Chairman of the NPP; Hon. Frank Aduse-Poku, former DCE of Asunafo South; Mr. William Asua, former Western North Regional Chairman; and Hon. Alex Tetteh, former MP for Sefwi Akontombra. The Boakye Agyarko Campaign team is led by Henry Quartey as the National Campaign Manager.
In a statement signed by Vincent Frimpong Manu, Esq., the Boakye Agyarko Campaign extends its deepest thanks to the Regional Campaign Coordinating Teams, Regional Executives, and Constituency Executives in the four regions for the warm reception and massive show of support. The second phase of the Boakye Agyarko Campaign tour continues in the coming days.
In a related development, during meetings held on 7 May 2026, with constituency executives from Offinso North and South, Afigya Kwabre North and South, Suame, Tafo Pankrono, Manhyia North and South, Asawase, Oforikrom, Ahafo Ano North, South-East and South-West, Atwima Nwabiagya North and South, Atwima Kwanwoma, Atwima Mponua, Bantama, Kwadaso, Subin, Nhyiaeso, and Asokwa Constituencies, the aspiring National Chairman of the NPP highlighted the need for forgiveness ahead of victory in 2028.
Agyarko emphasized that the strength of the NPP lies in unity, mutual respect, and inclusiveness, stressing that no committed party member should feel neglected or alienated. He assured executives that under his Chairmanship, the party would pursue an open-door policy focused on healing, reconciliation, and rebuilding trust across all levels of the party.
“Anybody who has been treated unfairly by the NPP, anybody who feels disappointed, marginalized, or hurt, should use me as a bridge to come back home,” Hon Agyarko stated. He further reiterated his commitment to strengthening party structures, improving welfare for party members, and working closely with Dr. Bawumia to advance policies that motivate and empower the grassroots.
Chairman Boakye Agyarko expresses thoughtful appreciation to the executives of the visited constituencies for the overwhelming reception and growing endorsement of his vision for a united and formidable NPP.
