Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo has reportedly passed away, with her husband, Choirmaster of the music group Praye, confirming the news in an emotional social media post. The cause of death has not yet been made public.
In his tribute, he described Beverly as his “pillar of strength and happiness,” expressing profound grief over her passing.
He reflected on the deep bond they shared as a couple, noting how difficult it has been to come to terms with the loss, especially with her birthday only days away.
He also pledged to carry on with the plans they had made together and honour her memory in every possible way. According to him, she was not only his wife but also his greatest supporter, closest friend, and the love of his life.
He said, “My heart is shattered beyond words over the death of my beloved wife Beverly Afaglo,” he wrote. “It would have been just like four more days to your birthday, but I guess the Lord wanted to celebrate with you, so He called you.
“You were my strength, my happiness, and the reason my life felt complete. Every moment with you was a blessing I will cherish forever.”
Meanwhile, sources close to the family have indicated that Beverly Afaglo had been unwell for some time before her death. A member of the Praye music group, Praye Tietia, also suggested that she had been battling health challenges in the period leading up to her passing.
However, official confirmation regarding the circumstances surrounding her death is still pending.
The family is expected to release a formal statement in due course to provide further details on her passing and funeral arrangements.
Beverly Afaglo was a respected figure in Ghana’s film and television industry, earning recognition for her performances in numerous productions over the years.
